Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

I just wanted to chime and say...it was great to see you all this past weekend. The camaraderie was, as ever, outstanding. Hopefully, I'll be able to race more next year...it's tough to come back for a one-off and be on-form.

Let's try to have a dinner in the City or something during the winter.

See you guys soon!

Yes guys it was a blast. I look forward to having all of you come try to beat Craig and I in FLA.

Peter, remember it is ok to lose to the same guy every weekend. I have been doing it for years with "Craig Who". Except at Sebring.

See everybody soon.

Now 5 & counting. Sy get on that!

Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

Look who's 5&counting. Not too shabby.

Another incredible weekend. Even though I drove like a complete lunatic and threw myself into DFL for both of my races, I enjoyed the hell out of them. And the Memorial was a blast. But the Banquet topped it all. Lots of tequila, lots of high fives and LOTS of laughs. I really want to thank you guys for such a great year. All of the guys at Skippy, all of the Juicy guys & girls, and (almost ) everyone else - you guys are awesome.

Sy

Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

first let me say how much i missed being at the banquet.spending all year with a bunch of misfits such as yourselves is the most fun i could possibly have. everyone this year has learned that this is just for fun{that the prize money is the same first to last}.matt did a great job of converting peter.
all in all there is nowhere i would rather be than at the track with all of you.{how sad a commentary on my life}. i hope to see you all soon.

great job matt

same to r j

dave excellent last race

peter nice job

sy thanks for all your help

final total for the mechanic's $ 30220
THANK YOU ALL SID

Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

I want to also welcome our newest member, Matt Varsha (mlv53), and congratulate him on his incredible weekend. Matt absolutely schooled us all in both races. Well done!

Also, congrats to Charles Anti (Charlie25) on his Rookie of the Year award. Great job!

Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

Definitely need to keep an eye on Varsha. His performance at Lime Rock is a good sign.

Peter, yes, you did kick my ass, but aren't you going to tell them the whole story? How I flew off the road at the track-out of the Downhill while leading? (DOH!!!) How I kept my foot firmly planted on the throttle as I did my best Steve Kinser at 100mph? How I missed the wall by about 1 foot? How you pumped your fist as you realized you had just then won the race? Let me remember, oh yeah, you were 2nd place at the time I flew off. After I rejoined, I caught you in 2 laps, remember that? Tell them how you started pointing to Pit In every time we drove by, and imagine the image of me laughing in my helmet every time you did this. Ah, what the heck, it don't matter. Wasn't that so much fun?

It was a great race, and I was happy to see Peter win. He drove great, which further underscores just how good Varsha was this weekend.

Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

Yes yes, I did get lucky. Or did I just pressure you so much? Your head was bobbing around in that cockpit. Left side, right side, left, right. You need to stop worrying about what is behind you. I keep trying to tell you to turn in a little later for the down hill but you just don't listen.

You did pass me but did not pull away. I know your a better driver, I think that #70 car was a bit hot. Made up for the 60 lb weight difference I think. You need to eat more, I am worried about your health.

Re: Great Final Weekend at Lime Rock Park

Don't worry Carl, its only your first post. You'll work up to it. :-)

Bitters, generally, are only served Fridays during cocktail hour around here.

We could start a terminally bitter thread but what would we call it (perhaps something like... Skid Marks ) and who would host it? HHhhmm? (Is Brother Theodore still around?)

Welcome to the latest incarnation of "Stop the Insanity!" Carl.

Great to have you on board.

For a moment I thought it was Derek responding! But he wouldn't be caught dead in one of Skippy's suits. Great to be aboard! This site has more bells and whistles than I expected. Should be an interesting winter.
