The sound track is spot on.

Teahupoo is massive, thick, merciless. When the right conditions waken this monster, watch out
From history page "This isn't your father's perfect wave, and unless seeing your next birthday doesn't rank on your list of priorities, it isn't yours either. Tahiti's Teahupoo (pronounced cho-po) is essentially a glorified closeout -- a hideous, deadly barrel promising a heap of trouble for even the most capable of surfers. In recent years, professional contests and high-profile tow-ins have bombarded us with images of her seemingly flawless barrels, but no other surf spot extracts a higher toll than Teahupoo, the heaviest wave in the world."
From YouTube "This day at Teahupoo- Aug 27th 2011 during the Billabong Pro waiting period is what many are calling the biggest and gnarliest Teahupoo ever ridden. Chris Bryan was fortunate enough to be there working for Billabong on a day that will go down in the history of big wave surfing. The French Navy labeled this day a double code red prohibiting and threatening to arrest anyone that entered the water. Kelly Slater described the day by saying "witnessing this was a draining feeling being terrified for other people's lives all day long, it's life or death. Letting go of that rope one time can change your life and not many people will ever experience that in their life." All images where shot by Chris Bryan using the Phantom HD Gold camera.

Doesn't the guy on the left look a lot like Al Carter?

Slow & Furious -- and check out the Landcruiser at the end, nice. Also see the video posted in comments about the Prius driver imposing her opinions on a very controlled, polite pickup driver. I would have run her over

Based on how that white sedan was driving, I think the LandCruiser had pretty much had enough and decided to perform a public service. Have felt like doing that a number of times. Awesome.

Thanks to Nick Nick for the find.
I'm thinking nothing would kill the X-Games quicker than telling the kids we were doing it in the fifties.

The toughest place to be a train driver
By Eamonn Walsh BBC News
It takes both skill and courage to control huge locomotives laden with mineral ore as they wind up and down the Andes mountains - making Peru possibly the toughest country in the world to be a train driver.
The Ferrocarril Central Andino (FCCA) travels from sea level to the mines at Cerro de Pasco, one of the highest cities in any country, at 14,200ft (4,330m) above sea level.
The ascent, on some of the steepest tracks in the world, is a slow grind, but the real skill is in bringing the fully loaded locomotive back down to the Pacific coast, west of the capital Lima.
"You need to have nerves of steel," says driver Daniel Garcia Zegarra. "This is how you need to treat the train, caress it little by little, no roughness, but slowly."
Up in the mountains, the railway tracks have few signals or even safety barriers to guard against the sheer drop. The slightest error from a driver could prove disastrous.
"The train would derail and go down the cliff," says Ameliano, the train's brequero, or brake man, who has the crucial role of adjusting the large mechanical brakes.
The rear wagons of the 200m-long train are often out of the driver's sight as the route zig-zags, and its weight when fully laden with trucks and cargo can approach 2,500 tons. There is a constant fear of derailing and falling down the mountainside.
"Once the brakes failed," says Ameliano. "We ended up travelling at 130km/h. We crashed into a tunnel.
"I took cover in the second wagon and I survived. The driver died, jumping out as the train derailed."

In a crash the laws of physics make you a bug on the windshield of that thing even if your sitting in the last car. The guy with the survival story is a very lucky man.

Seemed fitting given some of our nights at the Baer and Siebkens in years past
No vid, just a slide show, but this is all about the audio anyway, some classic stuff

Reminded of the Ghostbuster quote when Sigourney in a highly aroused possessed sexual state tries to seduce Bill Murray saying in a sultry possessed voice, "I want you inside me..." To which he observes her situation and answers, "I think there are enough in there already..."
She's got a pretty good ear and delineates different dialects within England and Ireland while some of her foreign accents are English with the different country's accent overlaid and some are the actual language. It's impressive but at a certain point the overall effect is that of watching someone with a multiple personality disorder.
If you're into roll play you'd be hard pressed to find a better partner.
Thought this was pretty interesting. You might have seen it before.

In my opinion, the only real questionable move was the pass on the grass. He should have just passed on the left and tucked in behind the other guy. I don't feel as if he endangered anyone with that pass, as he obviously has great reflexes and car control, but he did technically go four-off.

Now who knew you could win over a gorgeous girl with car noises... Ohhhh wait a minute.... I think we now know Gerardo's secret!
