Mario Andretti Racing School

Anybody done this? Is it worth the money? I KNOW it's not a real "racing" school although they do offer SCCA certification.

Going to las Vegas this week and need to kill some time (I hate Vegas, truth be told) and wondered whether any of these might be worthwhile for some laughs?

Re: Mario Andretti Racing School

In the same paddock as Derek Daly and it looked pretty sketchy.. very Vegas Driving Experience-y. Didn't go and ask questions so don't know for sure, but that was my visual take.

Re: Mario Andretti Racing School

Derek Daly sold to "Racing Schools dot com" a couple of years ago. Don't know if they are still running or not. Andretti and Gordon are completely independant of them if they still exist.

Re: Mario Andretti Racing School

Dropped in on the Andretti school while I was in Vegas last spring. The staff told me the cars were doing 150 MPH on the oval (1.5 miles around). My watch told me the cars were doing 120. We left.
