I watched several times in full screen HD and if it is a fake it is very well done, I am leaning towards real, but this youtuber has some other vids I find questionable.
Funny regardless.

BTW, you can exclude the original video from showing in quoted replies if you want to save some thread space. Easy, simply remove the video URL in the quoted reply. The only things that need to remain are any pertinent text and the open and close quote tags...for example...

Now you force me to bring up The Tragic Groundhog Incident of Skippy:Road America 2011. It is so sad that I can't even remember exactly which session it was. I think it was quali on Sat. And another reason why you should ALWAYS have vid running on your car (which I didn't, and I had the best view. Ron Y says he has video of the perspective from a following car, which might be dramatic enough to post. Haven't seen it yet.)

To set the scene:

It is early in the session, I am coming down the long straight from T3 to T5 at the head of a huge pack of snarling, impatient, bobbing, popping, and weaving cars. Right, it WAS quali. Clearly I wasn't going fast enough for any of them. So I stay over to the right, and of course everyone and their brother pops to my left, but I'm still leading as we pass the "Turn 4" flag stand. All of a sudden, a HUMONGOUS furry shape darts into the road from driver's right. He is far enough ahead and has enough pace that I'm pretty sure that unless he does the Squirrel 180 I'm not going to hit him, but after that his fate is in God's hands. And so the following thoughts pop into my head:

"No man, no! Not now! What is wrong with you???? Please God, no matter how dumb he is, please don't let this be this little guy's last day on Earth!" Yes. I actually said a prayer for the actually not-so-little guy. That was it, word for word. OK, not the greatest prayer, but given the circumstances, clearly adequate, at least IMO. And completed in plenty of time.

I gave the guy credit for pace that he didn't quite have. He got out of my line comfortably early, but post-session debriefing in pit lane revealed that while Shelby did the right thing and swerved and missed him, the ballast-challenged burrow-dweller was the sad victim of Dean Patzer's unswerving dedication to his inside line. Ron saw it all and I think he got splattered.

So now I am crushed. How could God have let that happen? Was He on the golf course? Sleeping in? I was very specific. I actually prayed out loud. One second, a happy, though clearly witless, groundhog, living his life in paradise. Then, one very poor decision later, not so much. But what had he done to anybody?

Doug,
Priceless is right... Great reactions. Every lap is like groundhogs day. Hysterical screams through the corkscrew every time and all the comments are just too good. Favorite at the end... "I don't think I can eat lunch now.......................... I'll have a beer though!".

Harsha,
He had a good life and never knew what hit him. The only discomfort was for those who saw it.

Harsha, I'm thinking God was busy anticipating your next prayer -

"Oh lord please get this car slowed down!!!!"

as your rodent-distracted mind missed the marker passing by at full boog

Dear Speed Channel,
This is racing, not most of your "original" programming like Jacked, Wrecked, Bullrun, and Livin the Low Life. (You used to know this)
Sincerely,

Now there's a philosophical discussion...

And your confidence (or lack thereof) in my ability (or lack thereof) to handle unexpected events (or lack thereof) on track is comforting. Now that you mention it, there really should be more runoff in Turn 5...

^^ SICK RIDE! It reminds me of 3-4 roller-coasters here in florida put together. The hulk where it shoots u out in the very beginning and another ride in Bush Gardens that stops before the 90 degree straight down fall and the dueling-dragons with all the flips and twists! So sick!

It's an abstract nonsense reference to Will Ferrell's character in Talladega Nights.

Nicely done

http://astrophotography.fr/

Pamir area in Tajikistan was the perfect place in the world to watch the total lunar eclipse of 2011 june 15. This was recorded with
an EOS 350d with a Baader filter inside. The equatorial mount was in an azimutal mode to follow the moon for more than 5 hours.

Wet Green Hell - quick hands required

"A lap around Nurburgring’s 73 turns is challenging even in what is deemed normal driving conditions, but take those 73 turns on a rainy day, in an open-wheeled vehicle while taking corners sideways, and that challenge is multiplied by about 100. Thankfully, Andreas Gülden, chief instructor at the Nurburgring Racing Academy, has the experience and skills to teach us all a little something on how this particular challenge is dealt with."

Now that's some driving. OK, so quick hands are good some times.

Posting the video because of this very cool SB FB picture post - and as a reminder to not piss off Watts in pit lane

Record run - GoPro heaven (looks awesome on YT, HD, large screen)

We are proud to present Nobuhiro 'Monster' Tajima's Pikes Peak 2011 Hill Climb World Record at 9:51.278. Check it
out as the "king of the mountain" beats his 2007 record of 10:01.408 - all captured by 10 onboard GoPro cameras!

If you like this era of F1, put 10 min aside and watch, a B-roll of that time
