Skippy friends at the LRP SCCA NER

This weekends SCCA NER event at Lime Rock Park was populated with Skip Barber instructors and alums.

Jonathan Goring won both his races with dominating and consistent drives.

Travis Washay was the fastest VW in his class, with two wins.

Ryan Hall did well in a VW, just off the podium.

George Kline won both races in his trusty Caterham.

John Posey captured his first SCCA win and dominated his second race until a West Bend mishap put him out at the end of race two.

Darren Berger had the race of his life with a white flag lap outside pass into big bend that took him from P3 to a class win in his Miata. Bravo Darren! Well done!

Russel G., whom we haven't seen in several years, was also on the podium in his Miata.

Ross Berger, handicapped with a DFL start advanced over 10 places in race one and spent race 2 hounding Russel G from start to finish.

Well done boys!

Re: Skippy friends at the LRP SCCA NER

Well, I can see I haven't gotten any skinnier since you last saw me.
Had a great time. Won not only my class, but all of group 3. This year group 3 was a blended group of GTU, EP,FP, HP, and improved touring. Enjoyed passing traffic while being hounded by a couple of very good drivers and cars. Trying to put a lapper between us was a fun strategy.

It was Great to see you in the paddock Pat. Thanks for coming over and saying hi.

Re: Skippy friends at the LRP SCCA NER

George,
All you need is a white suit and helmet and you are the Stig!

Went over to say hi and saw George's well exercised Caterham in impound (along with the other podium finishers) with four toasted/melted slicks and the car pissing coolant from all the flogging. Both George and the car were properly used up... Though George was neither melting his shoes nor leaking any fluid.

Haven't seen George in a few years and it was really great to witness him giving all on track a proper clinic on line and race craft.

Pete,
You'd have loved it! You'd have been one of the podium dwellers for sure.
