Porsche 911 RSR at the Hawk (in-car)

Thought you old farts (and maybe some young farts with a bit of cool in you) might enjoy this video that Craig Sutherland put together from the 2013 Hawk at Road America a few weeks ago. Craiger does a lot of incredible videos for the races Jim Pace (and other guys) does in various cars, so I'm fortunate that he was kind enough to do this one for me. Check out the Jim Pace Motorsports Channel on YouTube for more great videos.

This was the qualifying race on Saturday in which the fastest lap from this race determines grid position for Sunday's feature. I also have the video from that race (in the rain), but it's not yet in a nice little package like this one yet.

Sweet running Pete. Nothing you can do about their horsepower down the straights but you were all over them everywhere else. So wanted you to take defensive line into 5 on that last lap as you'd have out braked the guy and he'd have run himself instead of you off the track.

Awesome car with an awesome driver. :-) You didn't have any competition except for those pesky muscle cars.

Re: Porsche 911 RSR at the Hawk (in-car)

Thanks, Pat. Loads of fun running with those big HP cars. I thought about running defensive into 5 but we were far enough from the corner that I figured it would have been a bit sleazy on my part as it would have been a block. For the most part, I gave these guys a LOT of leeway because I didn't know any of them. I have a pretty good idea now who is who, so next time, I'll be a bit more assertive when I can trust the guy I'm running with.
