Re: TRG Finishes 2, 3, 4 at Daytona 24hr
Big congrats to Jim Pace, Jim Lowe and the many Skippy alums who set the pace today.
JLowe racing finished 3rd last year and their #64 Porsche would have been on the podium today if not for two very tough competitors in their own TRG stable and a brief off-track excursion early on. Well done and Bravo!
Spencer Pumpelly and Tim George Jr., were in the 67 TRG car that lead early in the race and overcame adversity to snag 3rd on the podium.
Also worth noting was the Michael Shank DP team that put their cars on the front row for the start of the race with both leading in the early going. Mark Patterson, Ozwaldo Negri, Graham Rahal and Justin Wilson in the 60 car and John Pew, AJ Allmendinger and Brian Frisselle in the 6 car overcame significant garage repairs to finish 6th and 9th respectively.
Michael Auriemma, Brent Milner, Mike Gomez and John Mayes in the #68 TRG car fought through adversity finishing 25th in the GT Class and 40th overall ahead of a very impressive list of GT and DP cars.
Sadly, Ron Yarab's TRG Porsche was out in the first hour. So sad to have the journey end so quickly.
It's an amazing event. Congratulations to all the participants.

Re: TRG Finishes 2, 3, 4 at Daytona 24hr
Looked like a real dog fight. I think JLOWE had an awfully strong car, I feel terribly for their mishap however 4th in that field is very impressive. The JLOWE gang put in some gutsy driving after RJ went off. They battled hard and ran some very quick laps in an attempt to make up their laps. Seems the new pit stop rule made it awfully hard to get an advantage in the pits. 3rd and a 4th in consecutive years shows how hard they all work and how much talent they have. They can hold their heads high with that finish, never gave up.

Outstanding group of racers sharing a Skippy background! The Rolex 24 is such a great roadracing event and it is very rewarding to see SO MANY friends out there racing, crewing, and cheering. From the front row to the first out...Congrats to all that participated and thanks for the support.

Great Job Guys! Watched a lot of the excitement and followed your times on the internet. Wished I could have been there to route for you all in person. Congratulations again! Well Done!

Ditto from me. Around 10:30 yesterday morning, I logged onto the live scoring and timing and had the television going in the background. I watched JP picking five to seven seconds a lap from Spencer, but it was too much to make up in the end. What a great display of pushing a car that had some overheating problems! Inspiring for all.
