Gentlemen,

How's the Skippy version coming? Since you had the jump on Needless markup I'm thinking you could get $10,000 for your version

Re: teamjuicy xmas gift idea

Given your recent video post, I'm holding out for the RT2000 "Chris Weldon" simulator for that "soil yourself" thrill of a life time! :-)

Re: teamjuicy xmas gift idea

There is a sim on the market now with a car that is pretty much the R/T2000, btw.

But Pat, it is a perfect way to find yourself bug-eyed and staring at your PC screen in the wee hours of the morning saying to yourself wait, it was just 9 pm a few minutes ago.

Anyone know what a decent lap time in the R/T2000 is at Barber Motorsports Park? Doubt I am fast, but I was lapping with David Greco last night... he was over four seconds faster

1:39's are pretty fast, if I recall.

Is that with treaded tyres (are they much slower anyway?)

I am wondering now just for the simple reality of the sim, or maybe of the track? The track is an aftermarket mod for the sim. I made 1m37's and was on track with David Greco while he was doing 1m33's. In the modder's track of LRP, I could not break 1m01, and there seemed to be some really bad off camber parts of the track surface - is it like that?

It is still fun regardless, and the really cool thing for me is I have found a league for beginners (or slowpokes - which I am). I'm really pumped for it. First race I can run is next Tuesday night

Sims are a blast though, and thanks to David's pushing me, I am willing to take more risks now--in sims--because, afterall, I cannot hurt myself

rFactor.

I realize now that the "upgraded" rTrainer - as it is called - has more HP and might be why it is faster

Still, it's cool. I cannot wait to race online Which will be here http://www.simcarracing.com/ there is some kind of spectator thing, but I do not know if having rFactor is necessary for that.

Re: teamjuicy xmas gift idea

That happens most nights now without the benefit of a racing simulator. It's not that I wouldn't love to. It's just that there aren't that many hours in a day... :-) I'll let you know when I break down and check it out...
Thanks Robert

Re: teamjuicy xmas gift idea

I know, I don't need racing sims to keep me up till the wee hours. And remarkably in the last two weeks, it has been a much easier time with a new baby than before too. Imagine that And still I do not sleep...

First "real" online race for me is tonight too, in the "rTrainers" which are the ones resembling the skippy cars.

Re: teamjuicy xmas gift idea

There's a Ferrari 355 Challenge arcade game selling on ebay. It was re-listed, the previous auction didn't make reserve. High bid was $7,900 or so.
