Next Step After the 3 Day School

Hey guys!

So two weeks ago I completed my 3 Day School at Lime Rock Park and wow it was a great experience. Certainly a dream come true for me to say the least. It has definitely ignited the "racing fire" if you will and I definitely want to continue pursuing my racing career considering I was one of the faster racers in the school. The only big question I have now is what is the next step after the 3 Day School? I know if I complete an advanced 2 Day School then I am also eligible to compete in the Skip Barber Race Series after that, and I would also be an eligible candidate for the Indy Car Academy but I'm not really sure if that is a good route to take if I want to get my racing career off the ground.

Re: Next Step After the 3 Day School

Welcome aboard Andrew,

Your best option would be to take an Advanced 2-Day racing school as it gives you more seat time, racing starts, passing exercises and lots of open lapping to get you ready for a race weekend. No matter what type of racing or training you decide on going forward, the Adv 2-Day is the best basic training building block you can give yourself. The cars are the same so you're working on car control and race craft rather than adapting to a different car. If you do your 2-day at Lime Rock you'll probably have at least some of the same instructors who already know your tendencies so you'll be ahead of the game there as well.

Let us know what you decide to do.
