Contest to win a FREE Memorial: Guess Who This Is...
I'm going to be very concise with the intro so I don't give the answer away. The first person who correctly identifies the individual in this picture wins a FREE Memorial race (=$440) courtesy of Skip Barber:

I was going to go with Divi... but since that is taken, I'll say Todd Snyder!

Since most of the high percentage choices are taken, (Sid does have a strong leaning toward the pink...) I'll say Julia Aryeh preparing (with her friends) to model the new Skippy driving suits to be rolled out with the RT2000 replacement car.

Re: Contest to win a FREE Memorial: Guess Who This Is...
Ari- My first guess was Matt as well. The eyes give it away. So my $'s on HazMat. Got to be a guy, notice the gal's have tight pink spandex tops and saddle shoes.
Matt- Pink is the new black, so looks like you spotted the trend years ago!

Actually now that I've reread Sy's Intro, and Arig's comment of the eyes works for both this modified and my original guess, I'm thinkin bout changing my guess to Peter Ludwig... He is uncharacteristicly quiet at this point, isn't he??????

Okay, now that Ari has changed his mind I am now the sole TJR member with the vote on Matt. When can I claim my prize?

ok, i state here and now that i am not changing my mind, i was just agreeing with the choice's of other people so i didnt seem like such an idiot for choosing matt. there are a few people whom this person could be, that's why everyone has different guesses. plus, i was drunk, you shouldn't be able to post when you are drunk it only gets you into trouble.

The WINNER IS......
Ok, guys, I think this has gone far enough! I don't think I can take it anymore - I need to get work done, not be constantly falling off my chair in hysterics every few hours from your posts! This has to be one of (if not) THE funniest threads I've ever seen, especially since I knew all along who the person in the picture was. Half of you guys couldn't tell whether or not it was a boy or a girl, half of you couldn't tell what era this person was from, and then a quarter of you fell in love with him/her. I'm dyin' here!
Anyway without further adieu...
THE PERSON IN THE PICTURE, AND ALSO, THE WINNER OF THE CONTEST IS.....

So, Matt Franc is the handsome devil with the 'striking eyes'.. Matt, I'd be careful going near Ari, and especially careful near his friends!
Ari, Congrats! And now that you're sober, can you keep your dirty mind clear for a few moments to claim your prize?

I think we need an explanation of why, how, or for what reason the photo was taken!
There has to be a good story behind it!

Actually, the next contest should be who can come up with the best story as to how this picture came in existence.
Mine...... This is how Matt met his wife.

Re: Contest to win a FREE Memorial: Guess Who This Is...
If you turn that picture over, this nicely hand printed story is on the back...
Once upon a time, more than anything in the world Matt wanted to be a real live boy (because up to that point the Prince Valiant tights and haircut even had his folks worried) so he went to Sid, his true father, and begged him to tell him how to become a real live boy.
Sid said, "Matt, if you find yourself a real live girlfriend and make her happy... you'll become a real live boy". So Matt set out to find himself a suitable partner and soon was beside himself with Joy (... oddly enough, that was her first name. She is the tall girl on the right in the picture, with the pink bow in her hair...) but Joy was decidedly not happy with Matt, so back he went for another consult with Sid.
"She isn't happy and I don't know what's wrong? I'll never become a real live boy! Boo Hoo:-(". Sid understood immediately and disappeared into his storage room, emerging with a very dusty carefully wrapped package that he handed to Matt.
"What's This?!" Matt said with curious wonder.
"Go ahead... open it!" said Sid, and Matt quickly tore off the paper to reveal a magnificent sculpture."
With a puzzled look, again Matt asked, "What is this?" to which Sid replied, "You've never seen a woodpecker before!?"
"Why no, I've never seen anything quite like this before!... Are you sure this will make Joy happy?" said Matt.
"Oh yeah... You're both gonna have a lot of fun with that piece o' work." And Matt ran off to share his new gift of joy with Joy.
The next day Matt took Sid aside, "I did it! I did it! I've made Joy happy and now I'm a real live boy!!" But Sid wasn't convinced. "Are you sure she's really happy?" Matt shot back, "Can't you tell just by looking at her?! She's completely happy!"
To which Sid replied in a low conspiratorial tone, "Yeah, but why is she walking funny?" Matt stopped in his tracks realizing that Sid had caught him. "Well there is just one tiny little thing... She has been complaining about splinters, but what can I do about that?"
Sid smiled "Sandpaper my boy, just use sandpaper!"
No one saw them for several days but Joy did eventually turn up in a neglected, unhappy and inconsolable state. Sid rushed down to Matt's place where he found him collapsed on the couch with bits of sandpaper everywhere. "So what the hell is going on with you..? I thought you wanted to please Joy and be a real live boy?" Matt looked up through glazed eyes and slowly recognized his dad... "Hey... with the right sandpaper... who needs girls!?...You got anymore woodpeckers dad? 'Cause I've about worn this one down to a nub..." Sid just shrugged and walked away.
Matt subsequently fell into deep credit card dept hoarding his favorite grades of 3M sandpaper. (He sometimes liked it rough with 80 grit and sometimes silky smooth with 220 grade) but did find gainful employment at a scrap lumber yard where he whittles and sands to his hearts content. And Joy made a killing on the 3M stocks she bought, so in the end, they both lived happily ever after. The End
(Disclaimer... The characters portrayed are totally fictitious and any similarity to Pinocchio, Gepetto, Matt or Sid are purely coincidental :-)

Todd,
I would like to find out why that picture was taken but since my mother, father and brother are estranged from me I can not find out the story behind the story.
And you say I have issues. Your correct!

Roger,
Good news, I will not be racing the run offs this year! So you will now have to beat Duerson.
For the bad news.... I am working the weekend.... And I will call car contact on the first lap... what car numbers.. "All", ALL But Duerson"
And then we will split the money!

I hate to bring this up Sid but you're beginning to repeat yourself.
However, thanks for the compliment and glad you enjoyed it. This one came courtesy of the transit strike. :-) Happy - Merry to you and yours as well...

Hey, leave Matt alone. Sir Elton John made his private life public this week, so why shouldn't Matt.
Although I must admit the phase "pretty in pink" has lost all meaning to me now...
