Exclamation 2005 Fantasy F1 Game - How to Play, Points System & Rules

The rules of the game are basically the same, but instead of putting our picks into the Yahoo system, we are going to post them into a thread on Team Juicy. Each race weekend I will start a new thread, and I will email it to you guys. You put your picks in by replying to the thread before the deadline, which is always just before the first qualifying session of the weekend. Trash talk in your replies is not only allowed, its encouraged. So let’s have some.

Otherwise, the rules are the same – you pick one Tier A driver, two Tier B drivers and one Constructor each weekend. You can only pick each driver and each team FOUR (4) times. You can pick any driver that is competing that weekend. You will have to keep tab of your picks by using the online spreadsheet that I will post each weekend. There will be no ‘safety check’ to prevent you from posting invalid picks.

Points:

The scoring system is now changed to a simple FIA Formula 1 style system. You get the same number of FIA points that your drivers and your team get:

10 for 1st
8 for 2nd
6 for 3rd
5 for 4th
4 for 5th
3 for 6th
2 for 7th
1 for 8th

There will be no bonus points for Qualifying, finishes, etc. I did transfer across all bonus points given prior to the Monaco GP, though.

More rules:

If you miss the deadline, your selections for the previous weekend will be automatically entered for the current weekend. If your previous selection contained a driver or constructor that was used the maximum amount of times (4), then you will receive no points for that particular driver or constructor. Choosing a substitute driver will not use up the replaced driver’s allocations, unlike last year.

Driver and Team Selections, and the Codes Assigned to them:

Group A - Top Drivers (Choose ONE from these each weekend)

Michael Schumacher - MS
Rubens Barrichello - RB
Juan-Pablo Montoya - JP
Kimi Raikkonen - KR
Fernando Alonso - FA
