You all know its coming. The Masters Nationals are completing their season of great racing, camraderie, laughs, dive bomb passes, and accussations that they got short braked by Quentin, or Mayes, or if only Lugnut had done the entire season. John Greist picked up that awesome double-win at Road America, his track for sure. Dr. Mike Edwards did the triple sumersault with a tuck at Las Vegas, only to be almost outdone by another doctor Jim Lowe. Ah, definitely many great memories with many great people.
And thankfully, its not yet over. A week of fun is coming our way at Road Atlanta. The Masters group has been sold out for months as buddies began to sign up more veterans. Mark Patterson is coming back for the weekend, as is Phil Saville. If it weren't for an injury, John Pew would be here to race, but alas, he'll do the most painful thing of all and spectate as everyone else tries to win. We almost had Larry Revier back, but that will have to wait a little longer.
Chris Wilcox has the title, but plenty of opportunities for position changes from 2nd to 8th. Dick Lippert and Quentin Wahl are just a point apart.
Anything can happen at Road Atlanta. I think the fans will be watching the Turn 10 chicane.
Here are the latest points standings.
