RIP Skipper Beck
Many of you probably never got to meet Skipper. Skipper, his son, and a buddy of theirs did a 3 day school last year in Atlanta. He was a one of a kind guy and had unreal energy and was just plain fun to be around. He was a big kidder and played jokes on the instructors all school long. We kidded right back. Skipper showed up to race at CMP but had to back out of the weekend because of business. He was just a great guy and tons of fun to be around and it rubbed off on his teenage kid, who was equally witty and sharp. This month Skipper was flying his Cirrus SR22 from his home field and under emergency, made an attempt to return to the airfield, and did not make it. Prayers are with you from Tennessee Skipper.... Skipper, you are still flying, in a much pretty sky.
