The first car magazine I ever read was called Sports Car Illustrated. That became Car and Driver Magazine in the '60's. In the early '70's Pat Bedard and Don Sherman created the data based test car data that we've all taken for granted in car magazines for decades.
Car and Driver now has a website that I've been moderating on for a while, but I'd never been the their offices in Ann Arbor Michigan or met the producers of its content.
I received an invite to a Cars and Coffee event that was held today (July 26th 2014) so I went out a day early and met Editor in Chief Eddie Alterman, Technical Editor Don Sherman, and most of the writers and staff who provide content for both the website and print magazine. It was a real thrill to be at ground zero of the magazine that started my relationship with automobiles.
Here are some pics of Don Sherman, Eddie Alterman, Jen Morgan Feeny, K.C Colwell, Alexander Stoklosa and the Cars and Coffee event.
For some reason the pictures are only viewable by clicking on the IMG links below. Sorry 'bout that.
