Hi All,

I will be coming to Tremblant again with my camera (as I did for Lime Rock). I tend to shoot the Nationals only during competition days because I am there with David as well, but if there's enough interest I would be pleased to come up on lapping days earlier in the week to capture folks in action.

I'd love for you to shoot MPowa and I during the Regionals if you can make it. We will be there lapping from Wednesday on, if you can't make the weekend.

I think I can do Wendesday for sure. Actually, it is better than Thursday for me. Let's say I will be there Wednesday. And a lapping day makes it easy for me to shoot every session.

At Sy's suggestion, here are the prices, etc:

each image in three formats:

• high quality 3008 x 2000 pixel, 300 dpi (10 x 6-2/3 inches) images ready for print use (TIFF format)
• web quality 100 x 67 72 dpi thumbnails for your website (JPEG format)
• web quality 600 x 400 72 dpi full size images for your website (JPEG format)

Pricing

• 10 digital images $35 USD - CD containing all images, mailed the Wednesday or Thursday after the race, price includes shipping, packaging, handling, top quality CD with Jewel Case.
• 25 digital images $70 USD - CD containing all images, mailed the Wednesday or Thursday after the race, price includes shipping, packaging, handling, top quality CD with Jewel Case.
• Individual images: For a shooting fee of $10 USD I will shoot up to 40 images of your race weekend and make available the thumbnails to preview. You can then order these for download at a later date for $5 USD per image (in all three formats), payable online via PayPal.

In addition to the regular shots, I've got a deal with our resident photoshop/video guru to provide some altered photos--that is, made to look more interesting. Like Doug did with the pics of Pat Daly after Lime Rock in May.

So far I have three takers.

I can take about 900 images a day before needing to download to a PC, so I can certainly accommodate more than the three I have so far.

I am not going to be able to make it to Tremblant. Things are just not going well for me right now, and, to put it as short as possible, I just cannot afford to do it. It will cost me more than I can earn. If I had a job in the last three months this would not matter, but I have been out of work since mid-April. My wife and 2.7 kids (2.7 due to be released as 3.0 on or about Oct 1) need me to not risk the funds.

I have sent e-mail to those who had expressed interest.

Get some excellent pics of you running at one of the most aesthetically pleasing tracks SB runs at! The photos will be superb, come on, sign up. Hey, you over there, your PC wallpaper sux! You need that apex-clipping shot now! And you over there, I know the only shots you have are the crappy ones I took! Hey..........!

Robert, I'm in for the deluxe package, and I'll do extra photoshops for anyone who signs up......Anyone? Anyone? I'll email some people who will be driving at MT who may not be aware of this service (yes Sy, there really are SB drivers who don't read all these posts....I know, I know, hard to believe but try to accept it )

C'MON GUYS!!! It's $35!!! You're spending at least 100 TIMES THAT AMOUNT on your weekend!!! Get some awesome looking shots of yourself - you can use them to make your crappy looking website look not so crappy ( ) or you can print them out and show it to your friends - the pictures will look so good that they'll be fooled into thinking you can actually drive!!! ( )

Ok, so, Doug has talked me into it.

I can come for the Masters/Regionals weekend and can be there Thursday through Sunday, July 28 - 31.

Thanks to Doug for the support and encouragement... and to Sy as well... and everyone who's keen to have pics. It has been a tough year for me, and to be able to do this and make a few bucks to help those who depend on me, well, that is really important to me.

To be able to work a little like this, in a setting I know I love, well, I cannot ask for more; not when it comes with support like this

Note, though, I won't be up for the Nationals race the weekend prior.

UPDATE:

Ok, so far I have ten subjects for the Tremblant weekend. I will be at the track early the morning of the 28th through the close of events on Sunday the 31st. BTW, what time are things kicking off Thursday morning? I'd like to be there ahead of that so I can meet up with folks, get their car numbers, meet them because I think Sy is the only one I have actually met before. I've met Pat on the phone though

Also, to help anyone spot me, I drive a silver Toyota Matrix. Silver like Peter's Gallardo hehehe. And my cell number is 514-963-6214... and it actually works at MT!

I'm really looking forward to this, and REALLY want to thank Doug for helping promote my efforts.

Is that the QUICKEE or the QUICKY plated one, I cannot recall which had which? I Think the Porsche, or at least a Porsche, was at LRP when I was there in May too.

Coming back into the thread... I may have hit a small snag... the shop I rent the telephoto from has accidentally let it go to someone who is travelling to Vancouver with it, and they will not be returning it until the afternoon of the 28th. I am trying to find a solution so I can be there the 28th (lapping day) with what I need. If not, I can get it in time for the rest of the weekend, for certain. I do want to be there for the lapping day simply to have extra time to get more shots The more I get, the more I have to pick from when sending out the CDs with 25 pics. I will still get plenty if only there for three days, just four is better.

BTW, a couple of people have mentioned $75... it is $70 ... I accept cash, or cheques, or if you wanted to do it by PayPal that is possible as well. Or, since you'll be having our funny money here for the weekend - if you dare trade your green stuff for our multi-coloured stuff - $85 in Canadian dollars (four green ones and one blue; or one red, one green, one purple, and one blue ).

Hi Bob, they are on their way. I mailed them Monday morning. I would hope that even with Canada Post's general slowness they should be into the US by now and en route.
