after many discussions with friends of mine, i have found that most racers are unaware of the new lime rock club membership catagory, 'associate member'...it seems that they have not done a great job getting the word out, and most people have dismissed the club as being too expensive...
associate membership is only one quarter the cost of full membership (a one time cost of $25,000) and you still get your choice of ten days of free track time per year, as well as all use of the facilites, club house, garages, vip tickets, etc...in addition, membership is transferable (read sellable)...
not only is this a great deal, but i believe, as does skip, that this is the only way that the track can be saved as a race track...
for those of us who remember losing bridgehampton to a condo-golf course, we need to band together to help skip make this work...it would be a crime to lose lime rock park for lack of effort...
