A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
Here's a sneak peak of the four items we're bringing to VIR to sell for the benefit of the mechanics fund. What you're seeing are either renderings or prototypes - the final products will be slightly different from what you see here and will arrive by Friday at VIR. You'll be able to buy these at VIR, so bring LOTS OF CASH and get ready to give it all to Sid!
Team Juicy Nomex Delta C Shirt
(rendered art on a regular t-shirt - for example only)
-----------
Team Juicy Baseball Hat
note: The hat will be Black (not blue as in these pictures), with a cool reflective piping stripe around the bill and on the back strap (not shown).
All thread is Silver Metallic.
----------
Team Juicy Polo
(Prototype of logo - corrections have been made and final will be printed on Black polo)
----------
Team Juicy Visor Strip
--------
PS - Doug gets full design credits for the incredible Visor Strip. I think it's simply amazing. And Doug, thanks for the great new font for the other items, too.

Re: Want to get a sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips?
I just posted a poll, too, so have at it. There is still some time to make some adjustments on the shirts and the hat, so if you have some (constructive!) comments, please post 'em.

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
The nomex shirt looks terrific. The visor strips look fast sitting still and the hat looks very good but I miss the red on the race car and on the front of the bill. I think the red accents gave the old dark cap a distinctive classy look. The two tone doesn't have quite the 3 dimensional pop of the 3 color design. But I'm being very picky. I want them all!

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
This may be a dumb question, but are all the hats going to say "East vs. Midwest" on them?

I too would prefer hats to not have "East v. Midwest" on the back. For what it's worth, I liked the original Juicy font. Nonetheless, I'll bring a check to VIR.

It's not too late to take the East vs. Midwest off the hat. I can even do half with and half without. Please let me know what you want, ASAP.

I too would hit the delete option on the East vs Midwest choice.
Any chance of bringing back the red car and bill trim? As mentioned earlier it added visual depth to the hat, just as the red ".com" on the nomex shirt makes it distinctive. Love the red...

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
Here's an alternative: print half with "Eastern Series" on the back and the other half with "Midwest Series."
Other potential alternatives to "East v. Midwest" might include ...
(1) Divi v. Wally
(2) Pat v. Cleveland
(3) Godzilla v. Mothra
(4) Low Eyes v. Slow Hands
(5) The Satanic V.
(6) Keep Back 200 Ft.
(7) Why Are You Looking At The Back of My Head And Not At My Butt? [This may require a smaller font ... or a smaller butt ... or a bigger head]
(8) Immature Adult on Board
(9) My Other Car is a Formula Dodge
(10) Drive Fast, Have Fun

I am sure the Masters would prefer a hat without the East v. Midwest or any variation thereof.

Thumbalina here...
They took the pins out last week. On Wed, I am having them make me a new cast which will hopefully be more RT2000 friendly. Won't know till I try it.
I'll be at VIR either way, with the whole crew! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I advocate two versions of the hat:
1) East v. Midwest
2) Geezer Derby

Given the Masters' record, how about the back of the hat saying, "Hey ya'll, watch this!"

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
Thanks for the input, guys. I'm making three different versions of the hat for VIR, so everyone will be satisfied. One version will be the same as already planned, another will have no 'East v. Midwest' on the back (and maybe with the colored car on the front), and another will be the same design as last year's hat but on the new 'reflective' hat.

Let us raise our glasses and present Sy a brass figligee with bronze oak leaf palm for his relentless efforts!
(Anyone out there old and obscure enough to know the reference? :-)

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
Can I ask you guys to take pictures of your hats and shirts (polo/nomex) and email them to me? I'm making an online store and need some really nice pics.
For the hats, please take front, both sides and back. There are three different hat backs, so if you have more than one style, please try to take pictures of both hat backs.
I'd really appreciate it, and so will the mechanics. Thanks!

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
hey Sy -
I'm assuming/hoping that the "TJR Store" will be stocked and open at Watkins Glen next week....
Are you taking pre-orders? I'd rather commit the $ now than let Sid think he pressured me into it there....
It's all about who is the bigger intimidator - and I cheat. Anything to make Sid feel old/weak/irrelevant
let us know
thanks for doing all this
BTW - I need a hat, some visor strips, and any (clean) clothing as long as it comes in XXL

Yes, I'm waiting for 'The Enforcer' to provide me with some account info so I can open up an online store. I'll follow up, thanks for reminding me.

I think you'd better bring a gun.. But even that may not work.

We'll have everything for you except for the Nomex. They came in VERY undersized unfortunately. This will be resolved by mid-year.

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
big al you you should feel no pressure i am letting you off the hook YOU ARE IN FOR 500$.Good now that the pressure is off let's get down to who the bigger intimidator is.We guage that by money the way we guage all thing's so we now settled that.
NOw let's take care of cheating i am on my 6th wife.that is that.
NOW we address old my sixth wife is 27 year's younger than me.
OLD i think not
Weak i dont work i have people do that for me so i might be a little weak
but as long as i can count money i am fine.
Irrelevant that is a big word i had to go to the dictionary for that
the guy who read's for me said not to worry about that.
now let's get down to the heart of the matter.in your last post you said you used to be a hooker.i hate it when hooker's go straight. it is a bad image for the rest of the girl's.
I myself like to run hooker movies backward's because they give you the money back that way
BE PREPARED YOU ARE MESSING WITH THE BEST
LOOKING FOWARD TO SEEING YOU AND YOUR MONEY AT THE GLEN
P.S.YOU WILL BE THE BEST LOOKING HOOKER UP THERE

Re: A sneak peak of TJR's new hats, shirts, polos and visor strips..
WOW - Well, clearly I lose out to the Sy/Sid show in terms of aggregate wittiness as well as artistic impression!!
THIRTEEN years as a hooker - hence why my neck A)doesn't exist and B) hurts all the time.
Look forward to seeing you next week too
SIXTH wife? REALLY? Damn. You have stamina, I will give you that. You might be the male version of Liz Taylor!! (or was she one of the six?)
