Just this past Saturday I hapened upon a documentary about John Fitch and his run on the Bonneville Salt Flats a few years ago. He was 87 at the time and was trying to break a speed record for coupes. Sam Posey narated. He fell a few mph short but he was driving a 50 year old car that he drove in the Carrera Panamerica in 1955.
I saw this on Saturday and logged on today and saw the trouble he has with old fuel tanks.
This just goes to show you that No good deed goes unpunished.
