They used to do it all the time but it does add to the logistics because they need a full set of mounted street tires ready to go and the mechanics have the added stress of changing every tire in the fleet. It's way better for us but it's a lot of work for the mechanics.
It may be more work to have half the fleet on slicks and half on street tires than to do all the cars one way. Kelly can probably enlighten us all.
