2005 British GP - Picks, Results & Review

It's time for Round 11, The British GP @ Silverstone. You must have your picks in by THIS Saturday, July 9th, 8 am. Please check your pick totals by clicking here, which will also give you the full spreadsheet. Make sure you're not over the limit on any of your choices. THERE ARE MULTIPLE TABS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SHEETS - Click on them to see your pick totals, etc...

For the actual excel spreadsheet itself, you can download it by clicking here.

As always, don't edit or post your picks after the deadline. If you want to change previously made picks, but the system doesn't let you edit your post, just go ahead and reply again with new picks. The new ones will override the old.

Good luck!

Here are the current standings and your current pick totals:

Jules,

Nice ass.

Pat,

I'm sorry Quickdraw's last name was MacGraw. Experience tells me, it's not about how quick you are but how well you aim. And I aim to take my time rather than just shoot from the er, uhm hip, as it were.;)

I'm waiting to see what you and your cohorts in crime  are going to pick and then 'shadow' you this week and every week - all the way to the end of the season if necessary.

Used my last KR on Yahoo changing from JPM because he was so strong so I hope the new enging works magnificently.

Really glad I changed to CK :-) A second slower than practice. Oy. How is the qualy order determined?

Set the land speed record and personal best from NYC to Goshen this morning so I could see what happened in practice. Was going to switch back to KR... Ah well. So many good picks now used up so everything is compromise.

Sorry, John, you're too late. BUT don't be too bummed, as your picks from last week carry over, and you scored even better with them. Not bad... As they say, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!

Frau CMAC kicked some serious butt this weekend to take the win. Another GIRRRRL winner. What's going on here? :p: CMAC, the honors for the review are yours.

Here are the results and standings for this week, plus the graph:

Please check your picks by clicking here, which will also give you the full F1 game spreadsheet - click here There are a bunch of pages on the spreadsheet - you can navigate through them by clicking on the tabs at the bottom of the page. It contains lots of useless and exciting graphs and formulas, etc..

For the actual excel spreadsheet itself, you can download it by clicking here.

Question?

How many of your geniuses picked Kimi to win San Marino? If you did then your can bust my chops. He was dominating that race when his drive shaft broke.

That's when MacLaren's domination began - not at Silverstone. But you all knew that...;)

CMAC 07-12-2005 12:39 PM

Re: 2005 British GP - Picks, Results & Review

 Mini-Birki & Montoya are equally thrilled with their 1st victory of the 2005 season!

 Now for two weeks in a row, Juicyjules has held on to pole position – way to go girl!!

:fight: However, it’s looking to be quite a struggle for the “manly girl” as the Top 4 have only a 5 point spread. Team Duo has encountered a few difficulties since the Canadian GP earning only 22 pts. Meanwhile, TOCHO and MINI-BIRKI have been quietly maintaining a steady, yet fast, pace!

 Besides the above-mentioned teams, the teams that are seemingly strong belong to Team Sydude, Team Wolf-Tec and Team Badger X3 as they are the only teams that have not retired for at least one race this season.

 Macdod managed to gain 1 position with exactly 11 pts - I find this interesting as it is the same score like #1 Juicyjules & #2 Team Duo. You can’t get to #1 by following the leader who, btw, is a girl.

 While scoring the 2nd best score this week with 27 points, Birkmama managed to remain in position 22 – you make us proud!

:p: Next race, Germany... 'till then - Aufwiedersehen!!

Re: 2005 British GP - Picks, Results & Review

CMAC,

For the record my picks were NOT the same as the lady in question. Speaking of copying how about dropping the "MAC" after C in your name?

It's fasinating to me that the lack of overtaking that makes Formula 1 boring, similarly restricts "overtaking" in the empirical sense when playing a game such as we are. It suggest that the cars, the rules, AND the scoring may have to change in F1.

"Life is math."

P.S. Speaking of which, a special congratulations :green: to Peter who DID NOT need to have Sy intervene on his behalf because he gots his picks wrong (again).

Lugnuts it's easy. Just think of a Chinese menu - one from column A, two from column B. :raspberry
