So how did my avatar change back, admittedly to one of my favorites, instead of the MM that CDH found for me?

A few avatars were somehow deleted, no idea why. Yours was one of them. I just put it back to the last avatar you uploaded that was still on the server. Sorry bout that.

Yeah, oldred, mine got changed too. I guess I'm going to have to come up with a new one, the autumn trees of Salmonkill Rd were nice in their day, but it's spring already. And while the ice-racing Porsche was cool too, I'm hoping those days are gone for the year. My bones need some heat.

Mine changed to the one I use for facebook, but I thought it was because I linked TJR to facebook. Maybe my situation is different. No need to change it back though.

yup, the facebook connection app links your avatar and updates it automatically. You can change the setting if you want to though, just by clicking on the red facebook link in the forums toolbar.
