Here's my E-mail to Rick Roso (Rock Rizzo) regarding his capturing of my "special" moment. :-)

Subject: Your pictures

Rick,

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU CAUGHT THAT "OH SH*T!" MOMENT ON THE UPHILL!!! :-)
I'd have captioned it "Daly puts on an uphill car control clinic"
except that, as you know, I pretty much crashed without hitting
anything. (You got the caption just right) That was the single scariest
moment of the whole week and I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU CAUGHT IT!!! Nice
job. Last time I'll try to dirt track an RT through the uphill! Between you
and Sy I've got more shots of myself going backwards and sideways, than
straight ahead. Oy-vey... Hopefully all my misadventures will lead to a
podium some day.

What I discovered about getting around Lime Rock in under a minute is
that both the margin for error and my balls shrink exponentially as speed increases.
They were the size of grape nuts after that uphill adventure.
Since I couldn't seem to find the finish line last weekend, at least
I'm providing good entertainment and photo-opportunities.

Wonderful shots of the whole event Rick. The shot of Jim Craige in
front of the tower captures him perfectly. So many nice
shots and as always your good writing.

Race weekends are like getting married:

You are crazed out of your mind with nerves and excitement.
It's over before you know it and everything has happened in a blur.
You get compliments for just showing up.
When its over, you can't believe how much money you've spent.
After the honeymoon you get to see pictures to remind you that it really did happen.

Thanks for the memories big guy. It's an honor to be included.

Pat

Final version.....if only SB used slightly fatter rear tires, look nice and DD might still have properly sized testes......:rotflmao: Got photos?

Beautiful catch Robert. Thanks for sharing it.

Doug, if you keep improving that shot I'm going to have to invoke John Lovett's "Liar" character for a new caption.

"Why yes, that's my normal line through the uphill... In fact, I do every lap just-like-that, before catching air with all four wheels at the top, leaving just enough time to wave to my wife Morgan Fairchild, (whom I've slept with) and finally landing at the perfect angle for turn in at West Bend... Yeah, That's the ticket!"

I noticed it on the Skippy site... funny how lens flare is not always something you want, but here, it makes for a neat "spotlight" on the thumb-up ;)

Another of my favorite shots... from Wednesday's lapping day.

The only part of Pat's car that's modified is the wider rear tire, the fronts are unchanged. They may look bigger because they are darkened....:puzzled:
