Just finished watching the web-cast of the new Atlantics cars unveiling, what a beauty! They also announced:
Standing starts in Atlantics for 2006
Mazda 2.3L four-cylinder engines with 300HP
Champ Car to jump on Danicamania train and promote Legge to PKV
Puh, just when I was getting all excited about driving in Star Mazda they had to come along and make something bigger and better.
See you all at Long Beach in '07? ;)

One big difference between Legge and Danica though that most people here probally know. Legge got press because of WINNING raceS in Atlantic. There has been some arguement about last years series not being as "competitetive" but I think that's kinda weak. From all the talk Legge can really handle that big brute champ car around Sebring's punishing test course. The one thing Danica IS missing is the muscle to handle the bigger heavier IRL deathsled around road courses and small high downforce ovals. And judging by her small frame I'd doubt if she'd ever be able to change that. It doesn't seem that Katherine has that problem. Not a dig on her now. I actually think Katherine is rather cute and MORE atttractive than Danica.:o: Maybe it's just the attitude. :) I give it to Danica though she has that HUGE titanium "set" that Micheal speaks of when it comes to mixing it up, banging wheels with the big boys on the high-speed ovals that don't require all that downforce.
The Atlantic season this year is going to be very competitive and maybe the most exciting racing to watch this year with Rapheal Matos, Joey D'Agostino, Leo Maia, James Hinchcliff, and Wirth to name a few. The Star Mazda at less than half the cost is still a logical step to TA or Champ Car. Although the car differences between the TA and SM aren't huge, it would be nice to have ground effects and radial tires, though. The prize package in TA is much more generous than Star Mazda too. I can't wait for Sebring.

It'll be an awesome season to watch, that's for sure. I'm bouncing off the walls here, this off-season is KILLING me!! :nannaflip
Yes, MA of course. Old habits die hard. Off season is killing me too. I'm karting like a madman to stay sane(if that's possible)
